Z3 offers SBTVD modules and system integration for ODM and OEM customers.

Macaw module is a 1-Segment/SBTVD receiver module offering full compliance with SBTVD (Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão Digital Terrestre) TV reception for Brazil market. It expects an input from a receiving antenna, down-converts and demodulates the received signal, and then performs all necessary transport stream processing and audio/video decoding using dual ARM926DSP processors. Macaw module provides a various high quality TV output format such as composite video (CVBS) and CCIR for easy system integration. Its small dimensions, low power consumption, and easy-to-use interface make it an ideal system module for many emerging consumer applications today and in the future.

 Macaw module is featured with very high sensitivity at -105dBm (for QPSK), very low power consumption under 0.8W, and small size 44.5 x 28mm (just one third of a business card). These features make Macaw module suitable as an embedded subsystem for the applications critical to size and power consumption such as portable and handheld consumer electronic products (a personal navigation device (PND), in-car navigation system, personal multimedia player (PMP), portable DVD player and more). Macaw alone can also function as a mini STB accessory to quickly upgrade your existing products with the 1-Segment digital TV reception capability.

 Its interface was designed to provide the simplest and quickest access to your hosts. Macaw module contains UART and IR ports to facilitate communication requirements between the module and host systems. Its 34 pins connector provides an easy interface for integration with hosts.
